Biographical Notes:

"Meyer Davis was a society band leader who had a home for many years in Sorrento, Maine. Pierre Monteux, an orchestral conductor, became an American citizen in 1941 and resided in Hancock, Maine, until his death in 1964. He worked in Europe and the United States, conducting the San Francisco Symphony for fifteen years. He founded the Monteux School for Conductors and Orchestra Musicians in Hancock. Madame Pierre Monteux and Mrs. Meyer Davis were sisters, born in Bar Harbor." oldfilm.org
